RCC faces Little Flower in U-17 tourney

JAMMU, July 13: Raghuvir Cricket Club shall be playing against Little Flower School Akhnoor in the final of under-17 event of the ongoing Summer Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament, organised by Singh Cricket Club at Government Higher Secondary School, Akhnoor on July 16.

Earlier, in the last league tie, decided today, Raghuvir Cricket Club (RCC) defeated Vishal Cricket Club by four wickets. Batting first, after winning the toss, Vishal Club made 74 runs in a game which was reduced to 18 overs. Nikhil and Vishal were main contributors to the total with 13 and 12 runs respectively. From RCC, Kanav and Amit took two wickets each while Thapa and Arvind shared apiece each.

In reply, RCC attained the goal in 14 overs losing six wickets. Kanav played fine innings of 33-ball 30 runs while Kirpal added eight-ball 13 runs.

From Vishal Club, Vishal bagged two wickets, followed by Vishal, Vikrant and Neeraj shared one wicket each. For his all-round performance of 30 runs and two wickets, Kanav was named man of the match. Amit Mangotra and Deepak Mangotra were umpires while Rohit Mangotra maintained the score in today's match.
