Director Sports oversees arrangements for MXIM seminar
JAMMU, July 14: In order to take stock of the arrangements for scheduled Mission XI Million Seminar cum Workshop, Director Youth Services & Sports Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad chaired an important meeting in his office chamber here.

The event is being organized by All India Football Federation with the support of Department of Youth Services & Sports at Indoor Stadium Srinagar on 18th July.

The meeting was attended by Joint Director YS&S (Kashmir) Bashir Ahmed, Deputy Director (Central) Haji Mirza Hussain, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Srinagar Muzaffar Ahmed Tramboo, Treasurer All India Football Federation Zameer Thakur, Cultural Officer Department of School Education G N Shakir, and other senior officials of J&K Sports Council and Directorate of Youth Services & Sports.

While throwing light on importance and practical usage of the forth coming event, Shiekh Fayaz Ahmed said that Mission XI Million is the biggest school sport outreach programme. He stated that the Mega Outreach Programme organized in partnership with the All India Football Federation (AIFF), is meant to encourage children to play the beautiful game of Football, gain healthy habits and learn important sportsman spirit. He said that various activities are being organized across the Country to promote and popularize the three phase programme by organizing workshops, and festivals etc.

He further stated that since the FIFA u/17 World Cup is being organized in India this year, such workshops will certainly prove helpful in building a better infrastructure for football and will help in building an ability in us to organize and execute global sporting events. He hoped that the presence of Physical Educators, Coaches, Principals, Headmasters and others relevant people in the scheduled seminar will prove helpful for them and it will certainly create a better sports culture in the Educational Institutions of our State.

The meeting was informed that all the necessary arrangements for the event are in place and different committees have been made for the smooth conduct of the programme.
