Media XI Jammu beat Media Eleven Doda in exhibition tie

DODA, July 15: In the one day exhibition cum friendly cricket match played in memory of Late Mehboob Hassan Kraipak (Manager Young Star Cricket Club Doda), Media XI Jammu crushed Media Eleven Doda by 62 runs in the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017 being played at Sports Stadium Doda.
The exhibition match was organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda.
The Media team from Jammu was led by Captain Mir Imran of Greater Kashmir/Kashmir Uzma where as Media Team from Doda was led by Captain Syed Riaz Ahmed of ETV Urdu/Chenab TV.
Earlier Media XI Jammu after winning the toss elected to bat first. While batting, Media Eleven Jamnu set a huge target of 211 runs for the loss of 07 wickets in alloted 20 overs game. Sunil Bali was the highest scorer from Media Eleven Jammu who played an magnificent inning of 87 runs while Amit Sudan scored 71 runs followed by Sachin Singh and Amit Kumar who contributed 05 runs each for their team. From Media Eleven Doda, Zuhaib Rangrez scalped 03 wickets while Firdous Khanday and Shezan Afzal shared 01 wicket each.
In reply, Media XI Doda team could not manage to chase down the stipulated target and was scored only 149 runs in 20 overs for the loss of 07 wickets and remained short from 62 runs to win the match. Zuhaib Rangrez was the highest scorer from Media Eleven Doda who made 61 runs while Firdous Khanday and Ayaz Bangroo contributed 28 and 22 runs for the team. From Media Eleven Jammu, Ashu Kumar, Amit Sudan, and Rahul Khatri shared 02 wickets each while Yash Khajuria took 01 wicket for his team.
Later on Amit Sudan of Media Eleven Jammu team was declared as Man of the Match for his best all round performance.
SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir was the Chief Guest while Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda Mohammad Hanief Malik was the Guest of Honor besides Chairman Gufran T20 Tournaments Zaheer Abass Hashmi, Dy SP Hqr Iftikhar Ahmed, Dr Sajjad Hussain Kraipak and Dr Basharat Hussain Kraipak were the Speical Guests on the occasion.
On this occasion, Osama Hassanat Kraipak, Son of Late Mehboob Hassan Kraipak was also awarded by the Management of Young Star Cricket Club Doda.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Doda Mohammad Shabir congratulates both the media teams from Doda and Jammu for participating in this one day exhibition match of 12th Gufran Tournament which was played in memory of Late Mehboob Hassan Kraipak and lauded the performace of media persons who played brilliant game in the match besides appreciated the efforts of YSCC Doda for organizing such events which will also boost up the sports morale among the media persons.
The match was officiated by Vijay Partap Singh and Mohammad Nadeem as Umpires whereas Milind Gore acted as Scorer and Sudhir Singh (Video Analyst) as Third Umpire.
