Army vehicle seized, driver detained: Police

SRINAGAR, July 20: Police today said it has taken cognizance of the road accident in which a minor girl died in Shopian today morning.
Giving details, a police spokesman said today morning a road accident took place at Village Agglar Zainpora in which a minor girl Arooba Farooq daughter of Farooq Ahmad Zargar was seriously injured after got hit by an Army vehicle. The girl was taken to Zainpora Hospital in the same vehicle but she was declared brought dead by the doctors.
A case FIR number 41/2017 under section 279, 304 (A) was filed in police station Zainpora regarding the accident. Police has detained the driver and seized the vehicle involved in the accident. Further investigation into the matter is going on, the spokesman added.
