3 Amarnath pilgrims injured in Banihal

BANIHAL, July 26: Three Amarnath pilgrims sustained injuries when a bus carrying Amarnath pilgrims was hit by shooting stones near Nachilana on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, today.
Police reports said that at about 2.15 PM, a Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) bus bearing registration number JK02Y-0612 which was carrying Amarnath pilgrims back from Baltal was hit by shooting stones at Nachilana Kilometer number 178 on Jammu-Srinagar national highway. The bus was returning from Baltal and was heading towards Jammu.
Three persons sustained injuries in this accident and remaining all other pilgrims travelling in the bus escape unhurt.
Police identifited the injured as Ajay Singh, 35, son of Kumar Bubey of District Chatterkote UP, Chander Keshwer Dikshed, 30, son of Shive Mohan of District Chatterkote UP and Pardeep Kumar, 35, son of Ram Bachan Singh of Aurangabad, Bihar.
All the injured persons were shifted to Ramsoo Hospital for treatment.
This is third accident of Amarnath carrying vehicles near Nachilana from past ten days on Jammu-Srinagar national highway.
