Mehbooba approves Rs 3 lakh Sponsorship for Sumiya Kouser

SRINAGAR, July 27 Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti while appreciating the efforts of the Sumiya Kouser a well known name in the mountaineering circles approved special sponsorship of Rs 3 Lakhs in her favour.
The financial help came at the right time as Sumiya is participating in the International Mountaineering Expedition in Russia and Tanzania being organised by International Mountaineering Organization which has played a key role in inculcating sports culture at grass-root level.
Sumiya Kouser approached the Chief Minister and Sports Council for the sponsorship.
“In the interest of dissemination of sports message across the state, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti approved the sanction of Rs 3 lakh in favour of Sumiya Kouser, a well known mountaineer,” said Secretary Sports Council.
