Police pays floral tributes to Gowhar

SRINAGAR, July 27: Police today paid floral tributes to a cop, who was killed militants in Kulgam last evening.
To pay homage to the police Constable Gowhar Nazir, a wreath laying ceremony was held in Kulgam, a police spokesman said.
Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Kashmir range, SP Pani led the police and security force officers and jawans in laying floral wreaths on the mortal remains of the slain cop.
Gowhar Nazir son of Nazir Ahmad Tantray a resident of Kujjar, Yaripora was shot at and killed by some unknown militants near Kanjikulla bridge, in Kulgam last evening. He was appointed in police on December 8, 2016 and was last posted at Padpawan guard in Shopian.
Gowhar was unmarried and is survived by aged parents, three sisters and three brothers, the spokesman added.
