Bullet-ridden body found in Shopian

SRINAGAR, Aug 8: Police recovered a bullet-riddled body of a vendor today in Shopian district.
Reports said Ishtiyaq Ahmad Wagay was shot dead by unidentified gunmen last night. Police said he was killed by militants.
The body of Wagay, a resident of Jablipora-Bijbehara town in Anantnag district, was found at Alamgunj in Shopian, the official said.
A case has been registered in this regard and investigations set in motion, he added.
The body was handed over to family members for last rites. A number of people visited the residence of slain vendor to offer their condolence. They also took part in his funeral.
