Guru Vandan-Chhatra Abhinandan activity organised

JAMMU, Sep 8: A Student-Teacher interaction activity under the name of Guru Vandan-Chhatra Abhinandan was organized by the Bhartiya Vikas Parishad at Tiny Tots Hr Sec School , Sainik Colony today.

During this activity the members of the Bhartiya Vikas Parishad explained to the students about the age old traditions of Guru and Shishya relationship and how a student should respect his teachers and how teacher should selflessly and tirelessly work for the welfare of the students. Toward the end of the program the students also took a pledge to respect their elders, teachers and women and also a pledge to abstain from any from of drug abuse.

The Principal of the Schoool Dr Vikram Handa stressed that the students must follow the pledge in letter and spirit and not just merely in actions of wishing their teachers. He also urged the teachers to work tirelessly in bringing out the best among their students.

Later the students honored their teachers symbolically with garlands of flowers and in turn the teachers gave them books as gifts.

From Bharat Vikas Parishad , Trishula Gupta President Bhartiya Vikas Parishad Shivalik Branch was present along with Dr Kotwal Patron of Bhartiya Vikas Parishad, Shivalik Branch and J K Prant, Dr R P Gandotra Patron of Bhartiya Vikas Parishad, J K Prant,Mr R C Sharma Patron of Bhartiya Vikas Parishad, J K Prant and Subash Gupta Treasurer , Shivalik Branch.
