MLA Ramban inaugurates Kaushal Vikas Mela
Urges youth to join skill development courses
NAWAZ ROUNYAL
RAMBAN, Sep 10: MLA Ramban Neelam Kumar Langeh today inaugurated Kaushal Vikas Mela, under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna, here at Navyug Vocational Training Centre Govindpura.

A large number of unemployed youth of the area attended the mela where resources persons made them aware about self-employment and skill development programs of the government.

Elaborating objective of the scheme, the MLA urged the youth to come forward and be part of the mission started by PM Narendra Modi offers huge opportunities for them obtain skill in their trades of interest. He encouraged them to join the training for employability or for becoming entrepreneurs.

He informed that under the yojna youth are offered free of cost courses in Tailoring, Dress Making, Fashion Designing and other trades under Made-ups & Home Furnishing Sector Skill Council and Training, Assessment.

On the occasion, senior faculty of Technical Education Department, Manmohan Bhatt explained to the youth about the eligibility and other formalities for joining the course.

It was informed that the centre offers training in different trades to youth with minimum age of 16 years. A group of 70 unemployed youth were shortlisted for training in different courses being offered by the centre.

Chairman, Navyug Vocational Training Centre, Heem Raj, Hafiz Katoch, Principal Hemkrish School, Shrishta Attri, and the staff members were present on the occasion.
