Politicians patronizing Babas & Gurus
ActIT Jammu, ASP.net Projects, Java, Vb.net, C# Training Jammu
Dear Editor,

Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim, Dera Chief of Sacha Sauda of Sirsa in Haryana has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for twenty years allegedly for raping his disciple Sadhvis in his Ashram. He has been a high profile religion preacher with lakhs of followers within and outside India.

When he was being taken to the trial court, thousands of his followers reportedly assembled in Panch Kula near the CBI Court (trial court). As soon as the trial court pronounced judgment the followers became violent letting loose the acts of loot and plunder burning railway stations, government vehicles media vans covering the news, thrashing media persons and all those who came their way. In the mellee around 30 people were killed and more than 250 injured some graviously. The law and order machinery was reportedly paralised completely as the accused was reported to have been patronized by the politicians in power.

This in fact was a repeat of episode of Baba Ram Paul’s arrest. The adopted daughter of Baba Ram Rahim alleged that the politicians in power had assumed that nothing will happen to him as they will save him by all means. The High Court of Punjab and Haryana had indicted the government in stronger terms as per the reports appeared in the news media. The politicians in general are superstitious persons who are seen taking refuge of Babas and Gurus. Dherendra Brahamchari, Baba Assa Ram, Chandra Swami, Bhagwan Rajnish, Hatta Yogi and many others were partonised by the politicians in power from time to time and as such they have always taken undue advantage of their connections with the politicians in power and indulging in unlawful, illegal, immoral activities with impunity and only when the situation has gone out of proportion the politician shy away for the time being outwardly but inwardly they remained helpful to keep them Babas in good humour for luring the voters on their side.

There are many other such persons who claim to be religious preachers but have been exposed when their misdeeds became public. The politicians however petronise such persons for their own vested interests of drawing political mileage.
