Cross-country event ‘Run for Fun ‘ organises at Manasbal

SRINAGAR, Sep 16: IRP 8th battalion APC Manasbal organised a cross country event with the theme “Run for Fun”.
The race was flagged off by Commandant IRP 8th Battalion Ghulam Rasool Dar.
Students of Sainik School Manasbal , Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Safa Pora and Govt High school Kondabal participated in the event. The run started from Manasbal lake and culminated at Sainik School.
In under-14 years category, Shoaib Bhat, Arsalan Afzal and Mudasir grabbed Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively while as in under 19-years category, Fayaz Shafi, Shah Saqib and Muzamil Nabi received 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone who was chief guest on the occasion distributed trophies and cash reward worth rupees 2000, 1500 and 1000 to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders respectively .
Principal Sainik School Manasbal Nazir Ahmad Dar, Addl. SP Ganderbal Shivdeep Singh and other officers of IRP 8th Bn. were also present on the occasion.
