18-year old youth injured in mystery Mendhar fire
MENDHAR, Oct 6: An 18-year old youth today suffered a bullet wound under mysterious circumstances at a hamlet along the Line of Control in Mendhar Tehsil of Poonch district.

However, a police officer said there was no ceasefire violation today.

Mohammad Yasir, son of Mohammad Shafiq of Balnoi who was hospitalised, was hit by a bullet at his right thigh while working in the fields in Balnoi area of Mankote sub sector near the LoC.

He was shifted to the Sub District Hospital (SDH) Mendhar where he was provided necessary treatment.

The officer said the police is investigating the firing.

Defence PRO Col NN Joshi when contacted said that he was unaware about any such incident.
