GDC Kathua lifts overall Inter- Collegiate Judo Championship
JAMMU, Oct 11: Inter- Collegiate Judo Championship for men organized by Directorate of Sports & Physical Education, University of Jammu was concluded at Gymnasium Hall.

GDC Kathua lifted the overall Judo championship trophy by gaining 24 points and GDC Paloura remain runner up with 16 points.

The details: 56 kg category : Robin Singh GDC Kathua (Gold), Gulshan Kumar MAM College (Silver),

Rajat Sasan GDC Rajouri (Bronze) and Ashwani Kumar GDC Paloura (Bronze).

60 kg category: Nirbhay Singh MAM College(Gold), Amit Singh GDC Kathua(Silver), Paras Sharma GDC Hiranagar (Bronze) and Sahil Kumar –GDC Rajouri (Bronze).

66 kg category : Virbhadar Singh MIET (Gold), Rahul Sharma GDC Kathua (Silver), Vishal Bhasin GDC Rajouri (Bronze). 73 kg category: AkshayChoudhary GDC Paloura (Gold), Shashnak Baru GCET (Silver), Arjun Dev Jamwal GGM Science College (Bronze), Johnu Sharma GDC Kathua (Bronze).

81 kg category: Sajan Sharma GDC Paloura(Gold), Jyotier Aditya Singh GDC Kathua(Silver) and Saksham Sharma- GDC Rajouri (Bronze).

90 kg category: Abhishek Chowdhary YCET (Gold), Sangram Singh GDC Kathua (Silver), Vikrant Kangotra- GDC Paloura (Bronze) and Navdeep Singh- GGM Science College (Bronze).

100 kg category: Shubam GGM Science College (Gold), Vivek Verma GDC Kathua (Silver), Shazad Ahmed GDC Rajouri (Bronze).

100+ (Open) category : Atul Sharma GDC Paloura (Gold), Ajay Singh GDC Kathua(Silver), Rahul Sharma- GDC Hiranagar(Bronze) and Rahul Chander GDC Rajouri(Bronze)

ArshiNad, Vikas Dogra, SurajBhanSingh ,Virender Sharma and Pankaj Sharma were the officials of the competition.

Kabaddhi (Women) : Govt.Women College Gandhi Nagar shown their supremacy by defeating GDC Kathua by 55 points(66-11).

In the thrilling match, PG Department beat Govt College Women Parade by 3 points(41-38).

Volleyball (Women) : Semis line up drawn in the ongoing Inter Collegiate Volleyball(Women) tournament 2017-18. PG Department, GCW Parade, GDC Poonch and GWC Gandhi Nagar enter into the semi-final round of the above said tournament.

Earlier GCW Parade defeated GDC Udhampur by (2-0) sets with set score 25-12, 25-04, GDC Poonch got walkover, PG Department outplayed GDC Hiranagar by 2-0 sets with set score 25-12, 25-23, and GWC Gandhi Nagar beat GCW Udhampur by (2-0) sets with set score 25-14, 25-15 respectively.

The matches were officiated by Amit Sharma, Mulkh Raj, Naresh Kumar and Romesh Singh Jasrotia.
