BJP youth leader found dead in Shopian

ANANTNAG, Nov 2: Police on Thursday evening recovered the dead body of Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) youth leader in an orchard at Killoora area of Imam Sahib in southern Shopian district. He was identified as Gowhar Ahmad Bhat hailing from Bongam Shopian.
A police official said that the body of Gowhar was recovered from an orchard in Kiloora with his throat slit.
“We received a call from the control room this evening that a body of a youth has been found in orchards at Kiloora area. His throat had been slit and there are some injury marks on his face too," said a police official.
He said that they have registered a case into the matter and the body has been sent for the post mortem to ascertain the actual cause of the death.
"We have already initiated investigations into the matter and the killing will be probed thoroughly from all angles," police official said.
