LAWDA continues demolition drive against illegal constructions

SRINAGAR, Nov 8: Under its special demolition drive the Lakes and Waterways Development Authority demolished a six constructions/ structures at Baghwanpora, Lal Bazar, Nishat, Breine, Kashkash Bagh Badamwari and Teilbal area which was being illegally constructed by a violator. Kashkash Bagh Badamwari creating hurdles in the demolition process.

The authorities have warned the residents living in the LDA jurisdiction not to indulge in illegal construction activities or dumping the construction material in the restricted areas without permission. The LAWDA will continue with demolition of illegal construction in these areas. All the public residing within the LDA jurisdiction are hereby directed that not to go for any sort of illegal constructions. As the Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal construction more all the Tipper/Load carried owners are directed not carry construction material in the prohibited area of Dal/ Nigeen Lake without permission.

Sharma meets Omar, discuss issues except autonomy
SRINAGAR, Nov 8: The centre’s special representative for Kashmir, Dineshwar Sharma, today called on former chief minister Omar Abdullah at his residence here.
