SP XI defeats DC XI in the inaugural match

JAMMU, Nov 10: The T-20 Cricket Tournament, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Police under its Civic Action Programme, was inaugurated at at Madr-e-Meharbaan Sports Stadium Ganderbal.
District Development Commissioner Ganderbal, Dr Piyush Singla along with SSP Ganderbal Fayaz Ahmad Lone inaugurated the tournament. 32 teams from across the district are participating in Cricket Tournament.
Among others, ASP Ganderbal Fayaz Hussain, Principal Government College of Physical Education, Dr Hartej Singh, Commandant 118 Bn CRPF PK Sahu, PDP leader Bashir Ahmad Mir, veteran sports personalities, all ranks of district Police Ganderbal and other officers of Civil administration attended the inaugural ceremony.
A cricket match between Superintendent of Police XI (SP XI) and Deputy Commissioner XI (DC XI) was also played which was won by DC XI by 4 wickets.
Pertinent to mention that, the sports festival which was organized by the District Police Ganderbal, in which games including Football, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Tug of War, Karate, SQAY martial arts and Badminton were played, has reached its final stage and the concluding ceremony is scheduled to be held on 15th of November 2017.
