Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 23 bovines rescued

POONCH, Nov 11: Continuing its drive against the bovine smuggling, today on directions of SSP Poonch, Rajiv Pandey IPS, a police party headed by SHO Skt Anzir Mir & ICPP Behramgalla SI Sukhvir Singh under supervision of DYSP surankote Asgar Malik KPS established a naka's on Mughal Road, during checking 3 vehicles bearing registration numbers JK11B/3316, JK 02BB/7590 and JK02AF/1379 were intercepted.
On search it has been found that the vehicles were loaded bovines and were trying to carry these bovines via Mughal Road, three persons namely, Mohd Altaf S/O Mir Hussain, Haroon Rashid S/O Zafer Rashid and Ashfaq Ahmed S/O Nazir Ahmed all residents of Thanamandi Rajouri have been arrested.In this regard case FIR Nos: 277/17, 278/17 & 279/17 U/S 188 RPC, 3PC act stand registered against the accused persons at P/S Skt, rest investigation taken up.
