KT NEWS SERVICE
SRINAGAR, Nov 13: National conference (NC) working president Omar Abdullah today flayed Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani for criticizing his father Dr Farooq Abdullah for saying azadi was out of question.

Omar took to Twitter to criticise Geelani. "Can Geelani show me his reaction to the Pak PM who has repeated many times recently that Azadi is not an option for Kashmir. Hypocrisy is a Geelani trait," former chief minister wrote.

Hurriyat (G) chairman had criticised Dr Abdullah for his statement that 'independent Kashmir was not a reality and that autonomy was the only viable solution'.

Geelani asked senior Abdullah to revisit the annals of history as “he is speaking against the wishes and aspiration of people”.

Omar, in his another tweet, said while Farooq Abdullah's ancestors were engaged in Kashmir struggle, Geelani was fighting elections and aligning with the then Janata Party.

"Yes, while Farooq Abdullah’s ancestors were engaged in a struggle this man was fighting elections & cosying up to Janata Party," Omar wrote on Twitter.
