Tral shuts over killing of Hizb militant

ANANTNAG, Nov 21: A complete shutdown in Tral township of southern Pulwama district today in Tral over the killing of a local militant in an encounter yesterday.
A local Hizb-ul-Mujahideen militant Adil Rashid Chopan of Luraw Tral was killed in a brief gunfight with forces in Seer village on Monday. Tral township and its peripheries observed a complete shutdown today with all the shops, other business establishments, private offices and educational institutions remaining shut and traffic off the roads.
Amid shutdown, security forces had sealed all the main roads leading to the native village of the slain to prevent huge gathering at his funeral. However, people from different areas managed to reach the village choosing interior roads and fields to parteicipate in his funeral procession.
A group of militants appeared at the funeral gathering and offered gun salute to their fallen colleague.
