JU beats Amravati University

JAMMU, Dec 5: University of Jammu defeated Amravati University convincingly by 9 wickets in its second of the All India Vice-Chancellor’s T20 Cricket Cup 2017 being played at Patiala.
Batting first, Amrawati University posted a total of 98 runs on the board in its stipulated 20 overs and set the target of 99 runs for University of Jammu. Dauood Iqbal Baba took 3 wickets, where as Pawan Singh and Balwant Singh shared one wicket each.
Batting second, University of Jammu chased the score in just 10.5 overs, thanks to a blistering knock of 62 runs in just 39 balls by Dauood Iqbal Baba. Deepak Kumar also contributed 23 runs. Dauood Iqbal Baba was adjudged man of the match for his exceptional all-round performance with both bat and ball.
Director, Sports and Physical Education, Prof AS Jasrotia has congratulated the team. Sham Lal Sharma, Manager and Sanjeev Kumar Chadha, Assistant Manager also congratulated the team for this convincing win.
