Dy CM reviews security scenario in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Dec 6: Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh today called for greater synergy among law enforcing agencies to thwart any possible security situation in the state.
Speaking at a meeting convened to discuss the security scenario in Kashmir, the Deputy Chief Minister lauded the role of security agencies for their role in maintaining peace and tranquility in the region.
Singh directed the officers to be extra vigilant to prevent any untoward incident. He said that the police had been on the forefront of maintenance of peaceful environs and other people-friendly initiatives.
The meeting, among others, was attended by Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, Muneer Ahmad Khan, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, Baseer Ahmad Khan, SSP Security among other officers.
Later, the officers also gave a detailed feedback to the Deputy Chief Minister about various developments in the region.
