Shutdown in Pakherpora

SRINAGAR, Dec 9: A shutdown was today observed at Pakherpora in Budgam district against raids by security forces and subsequent arrests.
Reports said forces arrested at least seven youth during nocturnal raids.
The raids came after recent stone-pelting incidents on Army during two encounters.
On Friday, army fired in air when it came under attack from stone throwing youth after returning from a search operation.
Meanwhile, all the shops and business establishments remained shut while transport also remained off the roads.
