Srinagar boy wins Boccia championship-2017 at Agra

JAMMU, Jan 5: After winning the Boccia championship-2017, the 30-year-old Srinagar youth has managed to get the ticket of 2024 Olympics.
The Boccia championship-2017 was held at Agra in Uttar Pradesh on 23-27 December last year, in which at least 450 players from different states participated.
The Srinagar youth, Abid Ahmad, son of Late Ghulam Muhammad, resident of Munawarabad Srinagar has got the ticket of 2024 Olympics by defeating its rivals in the Boccia championship-2017.
Abid informed KNS that after winning the national championship in Agra, he will be entering into the oplympics being played after five years.
The youth, professionally a businessman said that he represented the Valley several times in the past in Boccia championship and this time “I managed to shine the name of my Kashmir.”
