District police organises Volleyball tourney
RAMBAN, Jan 8: To provide a platform to the youths of the area to show their talents as well as sensitise them against the evil effects of the drugs and other criminal activities,

District Police Ramban in collaboration with Protection of Humanity Organisation (PHO) organised Volleyball Tournament at Government Higher Secondary School, here today.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Headquarter Ramban, Imtiyaz Ahmd was the chief guest who inaugurated the tournament whereas president .

“Under this initiative, District Police Ramban and PHO is making all out efforts to channelise the energies of youths to positive directions and create awareness about the drug menace to save them falling prey to the hands of the drug paddlers,” DySP said.

He added that JKP in collaboration with PHO organised this tournaments with a clear message to society that police is committed to have drug free society and look forward for their support and active cooperation of likeminded social organization to fight this menace which is eating up very vital of our society particularly youths.

Dy, SP said that the main motive of organising such events is to divert the mind of youth from drugs and other evils and aware them about the ill effects of these things and to make a health society.

Today’s inaugural match played between Volleyball Team Neel and Kabbi. The final will be played tomorrow between the winning team and team from other district.
