Kanwal Sports Anantnag routs Vijay Club in tie breaker

JAMMU, Jan 11: Kanwal Sports Anantnag routed Vijay Club by 4-2 goals in the tie breaker in the 11th Christmas Gold Cup Football Tournament at GGM Science College Grounds here.

The tournament is being organised by All J&K Christian Welfare Association under the agies of Jammu and Kashmir Football Association.

Both Kanwal Sports Anantnag and Vijay Club played excellently in the prequarter final match . Since no team can score the goal in full time, ultimately tie breaker system applied for complete the match and get result. Kanwal Sports Anantnag won the match 4-2 in tie Breaker.

In the second match, Param FC thrashed Young Hero’s by 1-0 goal. In the first half both teams failed finished ball into net, but in the 2nd half of the match Param FC got lead in 40th minute through Amritpal Singh a field goal.

Yellow cards shown to Gagandeep Singh (Param FC) and Pawandeep Singh (Young Hero’s) in 42nd minute. Yellow card given to goalkeeper Aman Manathia (Param FC)

The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Dheeraj Meenia, Romesh Kumar, Rocky Sharma, Ricky Kumar, Sanjay, Hilal Ahmed and Mohinder Kalsi.

Those present included SM Gill (Ex. MLC), David Masih, Feastus Sotra, Rajesh Kumar, Narinder Gupta, Harbans Lal, Yousuf Don, Charan Dass and Varinder Gupta.

J&K Bank Academy to take on Param FC on tomorrow at 1:00 PM while Shaheen FC to meet with Churchill 3:00 PM.
