Rehbar-e-Khel aspirants appeal authorities to change Pro-rata basis to qualification basis
JAMMU, Jan 11: The Physical education aspirants of recently announced Rehbar-e-Khel who have obtained their degrees from the University of Kashmir (KU) have appealed to authorities to change the pro-rata basis criteria to qualification basis.

the candidates said that in the recently announced Rehbar-e-Khel scheme, the authorities have kept pro-rata basis as the mode of selection of the candidates.

Under Pro-rata basis, 60 points have been kept for B.P.ED degree and 5 points for each higher degree.

The candidates said that those who have obtained B.P.ED and other higher degrees from outside the state have got a higher percentage, while as the candidates who have obtained the said degrees from Kashmir University have got less percentage.

It is an injustice to KU candidates as their chances of qualifying the said post are less. " Then what is the fun of getting degrees from KU as authorities have put the future of such candidates in dark," said aspirants.

They said that the government has also neglected the inclusion of points in outstanding sports career like national and international.

The candidates demanded that selection should be made fair and transparent by conducting screening test and appealed to Sports Minister Imran Raza Ansari to look into the mater so that justice is done with to the aspirants of KU.
