Arms, ammunition recovered in Kalakote village

RAJOURI, Jan 11: Security forces today recovered militant arms and ammunition from a forest belt in a village of Kalakote in Rajouri district.
On special inputs, joint search operation was launched by Army's Kalakote based RR unit and police team of Kalakote police station.
During searches, forces found arms and ammunition kept hidden in Jatta Malian forests by militants in past years.
Forces recovered arms and ammunition and thereby thwarted any possibility of anti-lawful people to use it for any untoward incident in future.
Arms and ammunition recovered is very much usable.
Recovered arms and ammunition include 01 - AK 74 rifle, 01 - magazine, 410 - AK bullets, 01 - 7.56 mm pistol, 01- pistol magazine, 01- Hand Grenade and 02 - IED circuits.
A case in relevant sections has also been registered in PS Kalakote.
Rajouri police and other security agencies and forces are working in a closely coordinated manner to thwart any attempt of triggering any untoward incident.
