Afzal Guru’s son secures distinction
‘Will fulfill dream of my father’

SRINAGAR, Jan 11: After securing distinction in Class 10th examination, the son of Muhammad Afzal Guru once again secured distinction in Class 12.

The Jammu and Kashmir State Board of Secondary Education (JKBOSE), declared the results of Class 12 today.

Ghalib Afzal Guru, the son of popular figure Muhammad Afzal Guru scored 86 in English, 87 in physics, 89 in chemistry, 85 in biology and 94 in environmental science.

Ghalib scored 441 out of 500 marks.

While talking to news agency CNS, Ghalib said, “My father always wanted me to be a doctor, rather a heart specialist and I will try my level best to fulfil his dream. I want to do it for my beloved dad. Today I miss him a lot," he said.

Ghalib said in case he is unable to become a doctor, he will go for civil service and try to crack IAS or KAS examinations.

He appealed to the students to go for self study also for better results.

Pertinently, his father Mohammad Afzal Guru was executed in 2013 for his alleged involvement in Parliament attack.

Meanwhile, Mohammad Naveed Alam, brother of slain Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Burhan Wani has also secured distinction in 12 class examination. Wani’s killing had led to civilian unrest in 2016.
