Cash looted from ATM

SRINAGAR, Jan 17: Unidentified persons presumably burglars struck State Bank of India (SBI) ATM and looted Rs 15,000 from the machine at Bemina area of city during the night intervening Tuesday and Wednesday.
Official sources informed that burglars looted State Bank of India ATM at Bemina and decamped with the money.
Burglars taking advantage of darkness and finding watchman guarding ATM absent struck the machine and decamped with cash.
A senior police official said that a formal case has been registered in police station Batmaloo and investigation set into motion.
“Police has registered a case and search for accused started; we cannot say whether thieves were local residents or from some other area. This is a matter of investigation and we will be able to furnish details once investigations are completed,” he said.
