22 Multi-Purpose Indoor Sports Halls sanctioned for JK: Sunil Sharma

JAMMU, Jan 19: Minister of State for Youth Services and Sports, Sunil Kumar Sharma informed the House that the Union government has approved 22 Multi-purpose Indoor Sports Halls for the state under Special Package for development of Sports infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir.
Replying to a question by Usman Abdul Majid, he said that in Bandipora district the location for construction of the Multi-purpose Indoor Sports Hall has been identified at Shadipora.
However, the Minister said due to financial constraints and huge financial implications it is not feasible to construct Indoor Stadium at constituency level.
