Youth injured in security forces firing
SRINAGAR, Feb 5: Security forces allegedly opened fire on protestors at Hawoora-Mishpora village of Kulgam district today. A youth was injured in the incident.

Reports said that the incident occurred when some youth booed army men and pelted stones on them. The security-men were patrolling the area.

The injured youth was identified as Arif Ahmad Lone, son of Abdul Rashid Lone of Hawoora. He was shifted to sub-district hospital Qaimoh where from he was referred to district hospital Anantnag for specialized treatment.

Lone was hit by a bullet in his mouth. The injured was later shifted to SMHS hospital.

The people alleged that security men ransacked their houses and thrashed the inmates. A woman was shifted to a hospital following the thrashing, they said.
