Large number of people join funeral in Kupwara
SRINAGAR, Feb 13: Large number of people participated in the last rites of two local army soldiers in two different parts of Kupwara district.

Subedar Mohammad Ashraf Mir and Farooq Ahmed were among the six soldiers killed in Sunjuwan militant attack.

The body of Mohammad Ashraf Mir arrived at his native Maidanpora Lolab area where besides army and police officers, large number of people participated in his last rites.

Mir’s17 year old son was with him when Sunjuwan army station came under attack.

Thousands of people also participated in the last rites of another slain soldier Farooq Ahmed at Haihama Kupwara.
