High speed mobile internet suspended in Kashmir

SRINAGAR, Mar 5: After the killing of four civilians in army firing in Shopian yesterday, the high speed mobile internet was suspended in Kashmir today.
However, in south Kashmir, the mobile internet services were completely suspended.
Officials said that the internet speed was throttled to 128 kbps to “prevent the spreading of rumours on social media”.
They added that the mobile internet service was barred in twin districts of Shopian and Pulwama last night.
