Rising Star clinches trophy of Tethar PL Season-1 Finals
BANIHAL, Apr 9: Rising Star Chareel today clinched the Winner Trophy by defeating Tethar Eleven in Tethar Premier League Season-1 Final, played here and organized by Youth National Conference Tethar.

A large number of star lovers of Tethar and its peripheries watched the matches of the tournament while the finals evoked lot of enthusiasm among the youngsters.

Congratulating the winners and runner up teams for their performance, District President National Conference Banihal Mr Sajjad Shaheen said that such tournaments will go a long way in inspiring budding players of the remote area to take to the game. He said sports in imperative for overall development of the youth and these imbibe spirit of camaraderie among them.

Shaheen urged the youth to take up such games, which interest them the most so as to make mark in various competitions. He said there is no dearth of talent but the need is only to identify and sharpen it as per the needs of time.

The District President said that sports offer vistas of opportunities to youth as far as career is concerned and hoped that the youth of Banihal will also make their presence felt in various games in a big way. In this context, he referred to the talented sports persons of the state, who have made their mark in different sports at the national level.

He complimented all the participating teams for exhibiting their talent in different disciplines of cricket during the tournament.
