Army porter killed in Pak firing
SRINAGAR, Apr 16: An army porter was killed when Pakistan army resorted to firing along the line of control in Uri Sector of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district, army said.

A defence spokesperson who identified the slain porter as Khursheed Ahmed (37) of Nawa Runda said he got bullet in neck and some grenade splinters in legs near Chaukas area and died on spot.

The spokesperson said the slain porter was associated with 4 Army Madras Unit.

A police official from Uroosa police post while confirming the death of porter said they handed over the body to the family after completing all the legal formalities.

Militants open fire in Shopian, SPO, civilian injured
ANANTNAG, Apr 16: A special police officer (SPO) and a civilian were injured after the suspected militants opened fire in Bongam area of southern Shopian town on Monday.
