Security forces not allowed to operate freely in J&K: CRPF commander
Kashmir Times. Dated: 4/23/2018 12:14:06 AM
NEW DELHI, Apr 22 (Agencies): A CRPF commander in Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday told that the security forces are “not allowed to operate freely” in the region.
While talking to a national news channel, he said, “You have seen the brutal manner in which a young man has been beheaded." He was referring to the beheading of Manzoor Bhat in Jammu and Kashmir. He was kidnapped by Lashkar-e-Taiba's militants from Bandipore. His headless body was found near the same region.
“Had the security forces been allowed to operate freely, may be they could've chased the people, may be they could've recovered the boy before he was killed. He was not only killed, he was beheaded," said VSK Kaumudu, ADG, CRPF of Jammu and Kashmir.
