DIG JKS range declares open JKCA Premier Championship
Jammu, May 13: Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association today declared open JKCA Premier Championship at District level in phase manner.

In first phase the tournaments are resuming on Knockout basis at Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Poonch & Rajouri in which total 134 teams are participating & 2015 players are given chance to show their talent and give opportunity to reserve their seat as probable for JKCA under the notable administration of Justice CK Prasad retired Judge of the Supreme Court and Justice Syed Rafat Alam Chief Justice of M P and Allahabad High Courts & Chief Executive Officer, JKCA Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, IPS, retired DIG.

At Jammu province all the tournaments are held under the preeminent supervision of Rtd. Judge Shri Jang Bahadhur Singh Jamwal & Shri Sham Saroop Kalsotra Members, Committee of Members, JKCA, Jammu. The JKCA has taken the initiative to connect & engaged the youth by medium of cricketing activities via promoting the cricket at district level.

At Jammu district total 34 teams are competing in senior category whereas 14 teams are participating in Junior Category i.e under-16, fixture for which was originated by Tournament Fixture Committee under the supervision of Jang Bahadhur Singh Jamwal. Rafiq ul Hasan, DIG, Jammu declared open the tournament in presence of Jang Bahadhur Singh Jamwal, Romesh Mahajan, President KCCC, Vidhya Basker & Pradeep Bali (Jammu Tournament selectors) Rajesh Gill, Former Cricketer, (Co-ordinator) Rajesh Dhar, Vijay Sharma, Harsh Nayyar, Vijay Saberwal, Sachin Singh Members organising Committee - Jammu District. Rahul Mahajan & Surinder Singh. The notable feature of this tournament is it is open for all clubs including the affiliated clubs. Proceeding of the function was successfully conducting by Rajesh Dhar.

The inaugurated match was played between Singh Cricket Club & Khalsa Cricket Club . Siongh lcub won the match.
