CM congratulates forces for 'exercising restraint'
SRINAGAR, Jun 8: Chief minister Mehbooba Mufti today congratulated police and CRPF in Kashmir for ‘exercising restraint during law and order duties.’

A police spokesperson said Mehbooba said this during her visit to district police line Kupwara in north Kashmir. Mehbooba was accompanying Rajnath Singh during his tour to the frontier areas.

“While addressing the jawans, chief minister congratulated the police and CRPF for exercising restraint during performance of law and order duties. On the occasion union home minister and chief minister also extended their warm wishes to jawans for the holy month of Ramazan,” the spokesperson said.

He said deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta, and MOS in PMO Dr Jatinder Singh were also accompanying the union home minister.

“On this occasion the dignitaries led by union home minister paid floral tributes to the police martyrs at the martyr’s gallery,” he said.

“Thereafter the dignitaries jointly addressed the jawans of police and CRPF at DPL Kupwara while paying rich tributes to the role of martyrs in ensuring peaceful future for the people of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
