Injured Baramulla student succumbs
SRINAGAR, Jul 10: A student of Nadihal in Baramulla, who was injured in security forces’ firing 17 days back, succumbed to his injuries in hospital this morning.

Reports said Ubaid Manzoor Lone (22) was critically injured when BSF men from 149 Battalion fired upon him on June 25 during a student protest. He was undergoing treatment at SKIMS Soura from past 17 days.

Family members of Ubaid said he was returning home when he was fired upon by security forces leaving him in a pool of blood. They said Ubaid was just returning home from school and was not part of protesting youth.

Large number of people participated in the funeral procession of Ubaid Manzoor. They shouted slogans and termed the killing of Ubaid as cold blooded murder. They demanded that an FIR be lodged against BSF and action initiated against the guilty.
