Landslide hits V’devi new track, closed

JAMMU, Jul 16: The new track to Mata Vaishno Devi cave shrine situated in Trikuta hills in Reasi district was temporarily closed for the pilgrims after it was hit by a landslide on Monday.
“An information has been received that landslide has occurred near Himkoti on new track,” said a senior police official. He said that new track was closed for pilgrims as a precautionary measure, adding, “No injury has been reported in the incident.”
“The yatra is in progress from the traditional route and will resume only after the landslide is cleared,” he said.
