J&K team leaves for Vijay Hazare Trophy

JAMMU, Sep 17: J&K team left for participation in the Vijay Hazare Trophy-2018
With J&K set to play its opening match against Bengal on September 20 in Chennai, JKCA was left with no option but to depute the team of probable players shortlisted by selectors earlier for the Andhra Pradesh tour. The only addition to the team is star cricketer Parvez Rasool who would be joining J&K team after playing for India Reds in Duleep Trophy. The team was left from Srinagar today.
“It has been decided to depute same players who were earlier shortlisted by the selectors. As there are no selectors available and also due to their ineligibility owing to Supreme Court ruling, JKCA has gone ahead with the same team. The team comprise of almost all the top performers of State and will also be having Irfan Pathan with them as player cum mentor,” JKCA official said.
