Nobel Prize winners

Dear Editor,
This is very shocking that in spite of being second world largest country as a population, our number of Nobel Prize winners is very less. Nobel Prize, which is the biggest award of the world for doing extraordinary research and works in 6 fields, has completed 118 years, and between 1901 and 2017, the Nobel Prizes and the Prize in Economic Sciences were awarded 585 times to 923 people and organizations, but India could bagged just 7 Nobel Prizes, also this is a matter of deep concern that we do not have even a single Nobel Prize winner in the field of chemistry.
Though there are some indian-born scientists who won the Nobel Prizes but we can not count them. Why is it so? Why we are lacking in number of Nobel Prize winners? This is not acceptable that we do not have brilliant, genius and creative minds and abilities, then is this a reason that we are not provided extraordinary facilities so that we could research extraordinarily? We all together will have to ponder on this matter. The central and state governments should take steps regarding it.
