CEO suspends teacher for forging signatures of Senior officers

JAMMU, Oct 18: Chief Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri has suspended a teacher for forging his and ZEO, Baljarallan signatures/ stamps in submitting ‘no objection’ (NO) and salary certificate in getting visa for United Kingdom.
The teacher has been identified as Mohammed Mustaffa presently posted at government primary school at Farwal (Baljarallan reduction zone). He is said to be absconding and the department has approached Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) for lodging case against the erring teacher.
The said teacher was suspended by the CEO and was attached with principal in Chingus higher secondary school.
Chaudhary Lal Hussain, CEO said that the erring teachers had submitted the required documents with UK visas & Immigration British High Commission at New Delhi with his/ ZEO’s fake signatures and stamps.
The documents were forwarded to Joint Director, CEO and ZEO by the Entry Clearance Assistant-Enrichment Unit UK Visas & Immigration for further verification.
“Before sending the documents to Joint Director, I found my forged signatures on the documents. The documents were forwarded to ZEO, Baljarallan and vide his office letter No.ZEO/B/1594 dt 10/10 18 he also denied his signatures and stamp” said the CEO.
He said the matter was taken up with the police and accordingly a case FIR has been registered against the erring teacher.
Reports said that the erring teacher is absconding and he reportedly was working as visa agent and might have issued the documents to others also with fake signatures of the CEO/ ZEOs or other district level officers.
The matter has also been taken up by the CEO with Commissioner Secretary School Education, Director School Education, Joint Director Education, DDC and SSP Rajouri.
