Kathua beat Samba by 2-0 in girls section

JAMMU, Oct 19: Inter District Divisional Level Competitions of District Jammu in the Sports discipline of Badminton under all age group Boys & Girls gets under way here today at BSF, Paloura, Jammu.
The participants of 6 Districts of Jammu Division are taking part in the Competitions.
The competitions are being organised by Department of Youth Services & Sports under the patronage of Dr Saleem-Ul-Rehman, Director General, Youth Services & Sports J&K Srinagar and under overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services & Sports Jammu. While Chanchal Kour, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jammu is the organising Secretary of the above said competitions.
About 184 Boys and Girls are taking part in the competition. At the time of opening ceremony of the competition, all the conveners of the committees alongwith expert officials of the department were present and blessed all the participants for the best in the competition.
The main objective of the competitions is to select the teams/player for the next level of competitions.
The details : Badminton U-14 Boys: District Jammu beat District Samba by 2-0. District Kathua beat District Udhampur by -2-0/
U-17 Boys: District Samba beat District Rajouri by 2-0 and District Udhampur beat District Poonch by 2-0. U-19 Boys: District Poonch beat District Samba by 2-0.
U-14 Girls: District Jammu beat District Udhampur by 2-0 and District Kathua beat District Samba by 2-1.
U-17 Girls: District Kathua beat District Samba by 2-0. U-19 Girls: District Jammu beat District Samba by 2-0.
The matches were officiated by panel of experts of department of Youth Services & Sports.
