'Finding The lost you': 20 year old pens down her struggles in book form

SRINAGAR, Oct 21: Battling the struggles of her life never let her morale down. Shuffling through the thick and thin of life, she came out not just as a winner but also became source of inspiration for scores of such persons who succumb to the harshness of life and give up their hopes.
After fighting depression and anxiety for years together, 20 year old Insha Khawaja of South Kashmir penned down her sufferings due to a mishap, her struggle with herself and the way to live up to the worst situations in her book titled 'Finding the lost you’.
Through her book Insha has given a vent to her emotions and also set an example for others struggling in different ways in their lives.
Insha belongs to Bijbehara area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad district. At a tender age of 12, Insha lost her father in a tragic road mishap. Insha herself survived the mishap however could not survive the shock of losing her father which ultimately plunged her info severe depression.
"This book reflects my struggles and my emotional endeavour of fighting depression. The book is based on my own struggles against depression. Through this book I have summed up how depression can be fought with will and positive attitude towards life," Insha said.
Insha is currently pursuing engineering at Islamic University of Science and Technology Awantipora.
Although Insha has never studied literature however according to Insha, her love for literature and writing has always remained profound. Before getting her maiden book published, Insha would write blogs, articles and would also write down poetry and prose.
"Writing provides me with inner peace and happiness. Writing has always been my passion. I started writing since I lost my dad when I was very young. Since then I have continued writing and it is through writing only that I have given a shape to my experiences of life, struggles and the way to fight back in life," Insha revealed.
“Seeking hope in hopelessness and seeking happiness in despair, this is what my book is all about. My book is about counseling. This book is meant for all those who have lost their identity and hope in life,” said Insha.
The young author attributes her maiden publishing to her struggles and her ups and downs.
Insha opines that those facing depression and anxiety in their lives need special attention and care rather than considering their situation a taboo .
She says that not much is being done in the society towards those who are struggling to fight depression.
“Societal attitude is dismal towards the victims of depression. That attitude needs to be changed. We have to develop a serious concern towards those persons so that they can fight depression rather than giving up," says Insha.
