JMC’s 1st General House meet on Dec 15

JAMMU, Dec 9: The first general house meeting of newly constituted Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) will be held on December 15 under the chairmanship of newly elected Mayor Chander Mohan Gupta of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP).
According to sources, the newly elected councillors are asked to submit their question to Secretary JMC one week before the commencing of the meeting so that the replies could be prepared accordingly.
The newly elected councillors of JMC are showing enthusiasm to attend the first meeting of governing body and busy in preparation of questions regarding various issues related to general public pertaining to JMC.
Jammu Municipal Corporation elections held this year after the gap of 13 years. Last time JMC election was held in the year 2005. In the 75 members general body of JMC, 43 corporators belong to Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), 14 of Congress and rest 18 are independents.
