Beautification of Chandni Chowk in Delhi

Dear Editor,
It refers to Delhi Chief Minister on 07.12.20-18 inaugurating much-awaited beautification plan of historical Chandni Chowk in Delhi. Ever since Chandni Chowk is connected by two different metro routes with one towards Gurugram and the other towards Faridabad, number of visitors coming for delicious famous dishes on Delhi-6 mainly at Gali Paratha has increased tremendously. It should be expected that after beautification-plan of Chandni Chowk is over, it will become a main tourist-attraction.
The plan can be made more successful if management of Gurudwara Sisganj cooperates by freeing presently encroached footpath and a part of main road. Main entrance of Gurudwara Sisganj at Chandni Chowk can be closed by covering it with a transparent toughened glass so that devotees not entering holy Gurudwara may pay their respect through toughened glass. Those wishing to enter inside Gurudwara Sisganj can do so through stairs at the side inside Gurudwara-complex. Such a system will be beneficial for large number of devotees who do not come to Gurudwara Sisganj because of usual traffic jams. This will also make authorities re-think for allowing vehicular traffic after beautification plan is over because of removal of biggest bottleneck at Chandni Chowk at this point.
