Shutdown in Hajin for 4th day

SRINAGAR, Dec 12: Normal life continue to remain hit for fourth consecutive day in Hajin town of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district today over the killing of two minor militants during an encounter with government forces in Mujgund area in Shalteng on the city outskirts here last week.
Reports reaching here said that complete shutdown was observed in Hajin the native village of two Lashkar militants Mudasir Ahmad Parray 14 and Saquib Mushtaq 17 killed during eighteen hours long gunfight with government forces Saturday last.
All the shops and business establishments remained closed in Hajin and its adjoining villages while traffic was off the road. People in large numbers visited the residences of both slain militants to mourn their death and express solidarity with bereaved families.
Authorities fearing law and order had made elaborate arrangements of security in and around Hajin town with paramilitary troopers and police personal in full riot gear manning deserted streets.
Pertinently two minors from Hajin area of district Bandipora who were killed during the eighteen hours long gunfight with security forces in Mujgund area in Shelteng on the outskirts of Srinagar city here Saturday last.
Pertinently top Lashkar Commander who is believed to be a Pakistani national and two local militants were eliminated during a fierce gunfight that broke out on Saturday evening in Mujgund Shaltang.
Five residential houses used by the lone militant identified as Ali Bhai from Pakistan were also damaged in an eighteen hour long fight.
The slain militants who happened to be best friends as well were passionate sportsman with one having passion for football and another ace cricketer of the town.
If family account is taken into consideration both friends Saquib and Mudasir joined militant ranks together in recent past and they were crestfallen the moment gun wielding picture of one of the slain teenagers surfaced on social media.
