CEO to conduct political parties meet today

JAMMU, Jan 17: The Chief Electoral Officer Jammu and Kashmir state will convene a meeting of all political parties in Jammu on January 18 regarding conduction of the Lok Sabha elections in the state.
In a letter sent to ten political parties including National Conference, PDP, Congress and BJP, the CEO has also hinted that parliamentary and assembly election may not take place together in the state.
“In order to review the general preparedness for the forthcoming General Elections 2019, Chief Electoral Officer J&K has desired to convene a meeting of all political parties on January 18 at 11:00 am in his office chamber, Vikas Bhawan Railhead complex, Jammu,” reads the letter by Deputy CEO, J&K, Anil Salgotra addressed to the president/general secretaries of the parties.
